One of our letters of the week was 'O', so we made some outstanding ocean art.
First, we drew the waves with white, blue and green oil pastels.
Second, we painted over the whole page with blue and green dye. This part was super exciting because it made the white pastel magically appear!
Third, we added some salt. This made our ocean look sparkly, bubbly and salty - just like the real ocean.
We also coloured and cut out some ocean animals, but we had to wait over night for the paper to dry before we could glue them on.
The next day, we glued our ocean animals on to our ocean background and we wrote awesome sentences about our fun activity in our writing book.
Check out our outstanding ocean art. Can you spot an octopus in the ocean?
You can watch the story 'Commotion in the Ocean', too!
