On Friday we had the first lesson in our Inquiry unit on Space! We learned that a person who travels in space is called an astronaut and we watched this video about a girl who wants to be an astronaut.
We talked about how astronauts travel to space in rockets and then we listened to this story called Roaring Rockets:
Then, we designed our own rockets! We used coloured paper in different shapes to make the different parts of the rocket. Then we used chalk to draw the moon and stars in space.
