Kia ora Pūkeko!
Today on our Meet, Ms Grimwood told us how to do a really awesome Spring Experiment.
If you want to try the experiment at home (I know I do!) then you will need:
- Daffodils or other white flowers
- A vase or a glass
- Water
- Food colouring
- Time to wait
Here are the instructions
1. Put some water in a glass
2. Put some food colouring in the water
3. Put the daffodil into the coloured water
4. Wait!
Scientists always make predictions, so ask yourself "what will happen?"
It will take a few days before you see the result of the experiment. You can write or draw your observations on a piece of paper like this:
If you don't have flowers or food colouring, then instead of this experiment, you could make a Spring poster! Check out the amazing, colourful poster Ms Grimwood has made. It has spring flowers, a rainbow, and even a cute little hedgehog! We can't wait to see the results of your experiments on our next Meet on Monday. If you would like to share any photos of cool things you are doing at home, you can a photo to the teachers, or you can email mgibson12.puekeko@blogger.com to upload a photo straight to the blog.
See you on Monday!
