Football Festival

On Tuesday we were lucky enough to have some people from Halswell FC visiting our school for a Football Festival.

Together, we walked across the road to Te Kahu Park, where the Football Festival was set up for us.

First, we played a football skills game called 'Shadow Shooters', where we had to practise dribbling the ball, and kicking it through a goal (our partners' legs!)

Then, we played a game of 5 on 5 football. For some of us, it was our very first time playing football.

It was great timing for us to try something new, as we have been learning about our school value of 'Explore' this week - which means being brave and trying new things!
