This week, Pūkeko's big book that we read together was The Gruffalo. We had lots of fun doing different Gruffalo activities.
On Monday we coloured in Gruffalo pictures. We had to remember details from the story to make sure we got the right colours - "his eyes are orange, his tongue is black and he has purple prickles all over his back!"
On Tuesday we thought about where each animal lives - an underground house, a treetop house or a log pile house, and then we made a story map to show the order that Mouse meets the animals in.On Wednesday we had fun with playdough! We made the characters and the setting. Check out our awesome creation!
On Thursday we watched the Gruffalo story online, and then we made Gruffalo character masks. We all worked really hard to cut around the outside by ourselves and the teachers helped us with the tricky eye part.
Can you see which characters we all are?
