What an exciting day we had on Thursday! Zachary's mum, Crystal, very kindly offered to come in and teach everyone how to make sushi balls.
The ingredients we had were:
Rice
Chicken
Corn
Peas
Avocado
Egg
We could choose whichever ingredients we liked to put in our sushi balls!
We had a cup with some gladwrap in it
First we put the vegetables, egg and chicken in the gladwrap
Then, we put the rice on top
Then, we carefully made sure the ingredients were all inside the gladwrap, put our hand on the bottom and twisted.
Ta da! A delicious sushi ball!
Thank you so much, Crystal. This was so fun and the teachers want to try make this at home for dinner in the holidays.
Maybe the Pūkeko children can make them for their families too!
