Last week we learned a bit more about Pūkeko:
- Pūkeko live in swamps and other places near water
- Their long legs help them wade through muddy water
- Pūkeko eat roots, seeds, grasses and sometimes worms and insects
- Pūkeko have a blue body, black wings, red legs and a red beak
Then, we coloured in a picture of a Pūkeko, glued it onto a blue background, and glued green paper on to be the swamp plants!
Have a look at our amazing pictures, and come and check them out in the classroom too (when we are out of Level 2!)
